Finger Muscles and Technique

Hey everyone.

I wanted to do a post about something that seems to be confusing many people when it comes to playing the guitar- or any other musical instrument for that matter. This is something that effects you if you want to play everything at 100mph, or you want to play difficult chords, or easy chords…anything.

That thing is: muscles. Don’t you want to be the best instrumentalist you can be? To do this, you MUST be using the correct muscles to play your instrument! Don’t you want to be creating music, rather than having to spend days, months, or even years having to stay away from your instrument because of injured hands?

What muscles do you use to play a musical instrument? Well, if you visit my website- www.ChainsawGuitarTuition.net- I have written an article (the one about carpal tunnel syndrome) that explains it in more depth. Do you know which muscles we are supposed to be using? The muscles we use play a huge part in our technique- which, in turn, determines our success as musicians.

How can you expect to play to the best of your talent using the wrong muscles? You can’t! So, please, for your own sake, take the time to read up on how your hands actually work, so that you can become the best musician possible. Don’t spend hours of your time practicing how to play with a bad, even damaging technique! Read how you can avoid this here.
