Guitar Chords: Minor 7

The minor 7 chord (sometimes written as: m7 or min7), is a very jazzy, chilled out sounding chord. It’s not quite as sad as the minor chord, but not quite as dissonant as the dominant 7 chord, although it’s kinda a mixture of both!

Compare these chords below with their 7th and minor chord equivalents, you’ll notice that they have the minor third from the minor chords (hence the “minor” part of the name) and the minor 7th from the dominant 7th chords (giving the “7″ part to the name, and written in blue here).
